Data Security

Physical security

Guesthub is hosted by Microsoft in Microsoft data centers, using the most advanced and latest technology to ensure all hardwares is protected by defense-in-depth security that includes perimeter fencing, video cameras, security personnel, secure entrances, and real-time communications networks. Microsoft data centers comply with the top industry standards for physical security and reliability and are managed, monitored, and administered by Microsoft operations personnel.

Secure Infrastructure

The system is hosted in Microsoft data centers and uses security measures and mechanisms to protect data. Microsoft blocks unauthorized traffic to and within data centers, using a variety of technologies such as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack prevention. The data centre constantly maintains, enhances, and verifies the infrastructure, and employs regular penetration testing to continually validate the performance of security controls and processes. The system is designed on the principles of the Security Development Lifecycle, a mandatory Microsoft process that embeds security requirements into every phase of development. We follow the rigorous standards set by Microsoft Operational Security Assurance to help protect customer data.

Data protection

The system uses encryption to protect all data. All traffic is secured by SSL. The connections established between users and Microsoft data centers are all encrypted, and secured using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) over the internet.
